Gyeol Privacy Policy

Summary: The free reading does not collect, transmit or store the birth date, time or city you enter. Casting the chart, assembling the reading and drawing the share card all happen inside your browser. There is no account and no analytics. Only if you buy the paid Pro report is your chart sent to our server; below we say exactly what is sent, where, and for how long it is kept.

How your input is processed
Your birth date, time and city are used only by JavaScript on this page to compute the four pillars. The result and the reading exist in browser memory and disappear when you close the page. Nothing is sent to us; Gyeol has no server that accepts input.
Shared links
“Copy link” puts your birth details after the # in the page address. Browsers do not send that part to any server, but anyone who receives the link can open the same result. Share with that in mind.
Share card
The share card image is rendered on a canvas in your browser and saved directly to your device. It is never uploaded.
What we don't do
- No collection, storage or transmission of your input
- No analytics, tracking, advertising or cookies
- No accounts or logins
- No AI or cloud processing for the free reading (it is assembled from pre-written text). AI is used only for the paid Pro report, described below.
External resources
The page loads fonts from Google Fonts and jsDelivr (Pretendard). Those services may receive your IP address and browser information under their own privacy policies; your birth details are never part of those requests. The site is hosted on Cloudflare.
Pro report (paid)
The Pro report is a one-time purchase. Payment is handled by Polar (Polar Software Inc.) as merchant of record; your name, email and payment details are collected on Polar's checkout page under Polar's privacy policy. We never see payment details.
When you buy Pro, the following is sent to our server (Cloudflare Workers):

The report text is generated by an AI model (Anthropic's Claude API). For that, the chart data above (characters, computed results, gender, age) is sent to Anthropic and, under Anthropic's commercial terms, is not used to train models. No name, email or payment data is sent to the AI.
The page address you return to after payment (it contains the checkout id) is the key to your report. Anyone with that address can open it, so share it with care. To have a report deleted, send the checkout id through the support page and we delete it right away.
Photo face reading (paid)
"AI reading from a photo" on the Face page is included in the Pro purchase above; the same checkout id opens both the Saju report and the photo reading. After payment, the face photo you upload is shrunk in your browser to at most 1024 pixels and sent to our server (Cloudflare Workers), which passes it to the AI model (Anthropic's Claude API) to generate the reading and then discards it immediately. The photo is stored nowhere on our servers, storage or logs, and under Anthropic's commercial terms is not used to train models. Only the generated text is kept (one year, tied to the checkout id). If you cast your chart first, a short chart summary (day master, element balance) is sent along so the text can connect them.
A face photo can be sensitive. Upload only your own, and never someone else's without their consent. To delete a generated reading, send the checkout id through the support page.
The other tools
Today, Sky, Personal color and the Face self-reading are computed entirely in your browser and send nothing to a server. Your birth details are stored only in this browser's local storage for convenience and can be cleared with "Clear" on the Gyeol home page.
Children
Gyeol collects no information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update this page and the effective date above.
